Gwendan Act 1 Croque-Monsieur, Crêpe The debt thread runs into the Act 2 Tower murder, and resolving it is the True Noble Soul achievement. He is also the knight to send on the second goose quest to steal the eggs.
Ligia Lamp questline Préfou, Crêpe This is the wish-granting lamp thread people search for on its own.
Oliver Act 2 Galette-Saucisse, Croque-Monsieur Complete his quest line and send him to the magic academy when prompted for a large magic upgrade — that is the Graduated achievement.

The 4 romanceable household members

These four are not knights. They never go on quests and they never sit at the table — but they all get farewell slides, and all four of those slides change if you romanced them.

Romance list checked:

How affinity actually moves

Romance runs on the same affinity number as everything else in the tower, which is why it is easier to lose than players expect.

Romance and the ending

Romance does not gate any of the five endings — those are decided by your dominant sovereign style when the Emperor issues his ultimatum. What romance changes is the epilogue. Ten characters have farewell slides written specifically for having been romanced, and four knights have slides that change again depending on whether you took the marriage ending. All five endings and their archetype gates →

One thing worth setting straight: the Marry ending is not a romance with anyone at your table. It is a proposal to the Emperor, offered only on the Audacious branch, and it resolves inside the ultimatum conversation with no final quest.

Romance questions players actually ask

Does Sovereign Tower have romance?

Yes. 10 characters can be romanced — 6 knights of the Round Table and 4 members of your household staff. Completing a romance is its own achievement, Love Is All.

Can you romance more than one character in Sovereign Tower?

Nothing stops you from pursuing several at once, and the game leans into it — but each romance changes that character’s farewell slide at the end, and pushing several at the same time is the kind of thing the ending text notices. Flirting alone does not commit you; the intimate and openly romantic dialogue options are what count.

Can you romance Victoria in Sovereign Tower?

No. Victoria is not on the romance list. Her farewell slide is one of the fourteen fixed ones that do not change for romance, ending or evolution.

How do you romance Ursula in Sovereign Tower?

Ursula is romanceable, and affinity is the lever. She accepts Préfou and Lion’s Taco, and a preferred meal is worth +1.5 affinity per round. Note that sending her against the Kingslayer transforms her, and the player who documented that outcome described it as a bad result.

Does romance change the ending?

Not the main ending — that is decided by your sovereign archetype at the Emperor’s ultimatum. Romance changes the character slides that play afterwards, and one ending route (Marry) is a proposal to the Emperor himself rather than to anyone on your roster.
